A catalogue, not a folder of PDFs
Courses carry their own hours and materials. A teacher enrols, works through them, and the record updates as they go.

A course catalogue teachers can work through, with hours recorded when a course is completed — so an appraisal, an accreditation visit or an IB authorisation has the evidence without anyone reconstructing the year from memory.

Courses
Hours are recorded when a course is completed, so an appraisal has the record rather than a recollection.
Courses carry their own hours and materials. A teacher enrols, works through them, and the record updates as they go.
Completing a course writes the hours to the teacher's record. Enrolling and completing in one sitting records the hours too, which is exactly the case that tends to be lost.
Authorisation and accreditation ask what training staff have had. The answer is a report, filtered by person, programme or year.
Who has done nothing this year is as useful as who has done the most — and is far harder to see in a shared drive.
